The Sodastream Penguin
is the high end soda and sparkling water maker in the Sodastream family. It boasts a significantly sleeker design as well as 620 mL dishwasher-safe glass carafes. The Penguin is made of both plastic and stainless steel much like the Pure. The Penguin uses “Stay-fizzy” closures that retain carbonation longer than store-bought sodas. It can also carbonate up to 60 liters of water on one 14.5 oz cylinder of CO2, but will not take the larger, 33 oz cylinders. Easily the most impressive of the Sodastream soda makers, it would look great in a gourmet kitchen. As always, there is no electricity required to operate it. All Sodastream soda makers come with a 2-year warranty, as well.
