Anyone who buys soda regularly knows how expensive it’s gotten.  Imagine being able to make your own soda for a fraction of the cost?  Well, now you can with SodaStream Soda Maker.  This unique and fun soda making machine gives you excellent tasting carbonated soda in over 30 flavors. Kids absolutely love making their own drink creations.

Soda for $.25 a serving?  Yes!

You can make your own soda starting at just $.25 per serving!  What you won’t be sacrificing is the taste. You can have as much fizz as you want in your drinks because you control the amount of fizz and flavor for each drink you make. SodaStream even offers consumers energy drinks in regular and diet, starting at the same incredible $.25 per serving.  In stores, you’re going to pay at least $2.00 or higher per serving for an energy drink.

When you purchase the SodaStream starter kit, you get the soda maker,  a carbonating bottle with fizz preserver cap, 12 soda mix samplers, and a reusable CO2 carbonator that holds up to 60 liters.   You can purchase additional soda flavors, bottles and fizz preserving caps from the website as well.

Along with saving money, your carbonated drinks made from SodaStream contain less sugar, carbohydrates, salt and calories than regular soda which makes them healthier for you to drink.

On average, households that consume soda spend about $500 per year for a family of 4.  When you purchase a SodaStream Soda Maker, you can estimate that you will save at least $200 per year.  That includes reordering soda mixes.  This amount may vary depending on how much soda your household consumes.

Other ways of saving money with SodaStream

The bottles that you use with your SodaStream maker can be used for up to three years and don’t add any plastic like aftertaste to your drinks.  Your soda will be great tasting bottle after bottle.

Anyone who buys soda has gone through having to dump out the remaining bottle or can because it’s gone flat.  With the Soda Stream Soda Maker, you will have a fizz preserving cap that works to keep your drinks from going flat.  No more money poured down the drain.

SodaStream definitely reduces the amount of bottles and cans you will throw away since you reuse the bottles over and over again.  Decide what flavor you want, and mix it up.  Get creative and see what kinds of variations you can come up with.  Some people love juices in their drinks, others like the more traditional flavors such as Root beer and Cola.  Whatever your favorite is, Soda Stream has it.

Even if you don’t consume tons of soda each year, the SodaStream will save you money as well as give you healthier, great tasting drinks anytime you want them.

How you can Make Your Own Soda

When you think “homemade,” you might not think of soda pop. Carbonated soft drinks are inexpensive and available everywhere, but you’re also a nutritional nightmare of empty calories and excess sugar. When you create your own soda, you can control the components and the quantity of sugar, making fresh, healthier soda. While many sugary sodas such as root beer are brewed over time like beer, lighter sodas can be made with home carbonation machines that inject carbon dioxide into liquid in just a matter of moments.

Instructions

1. Mix the lemon and lime juice in a bowl. Add the sugar and stir until it’s dissolved. Set the lemon-lime mixture aside.

2. Put the cold water into a bottle that’s compatible with your carbonation machine, leaving about 2 inches of air space in the bottle neck.

3. Load the CO2 canister as directed for your carbonation machine.

4. Put the bottle as directed on the carbonation machine. Most units have a button you press to inject the CO2 into the water; inject the CO2 as directed, to the quantity of carbonation desired.

5. Take away the bottle from the machine. Add the lemon-lime mixture for a fresh citrus soda. Conversely, you can add flavored soda syrup, or drink the carbonated water plain.

How To Save Even More Money With SodaStream

I have been using the SodaStream drinks for years now.

SodaStream makes a little unit in which you put a special bottle filled with water. You then shpritz the gas, Co2, into the water, and mix in the syrup. Presto, you have homemade soda pop!

The benefits of homemade soda pop are numerous. There are health benefits, there are financial savings, there are environmental benefits, there are convenience benefits, and more.

One of the great things about SodaStream products, besides all those benefits, is the flexibility of the product. This is really something I learned over time.

When you start using the SodaStream product, you are going to be buying everything from them. The unit, the gas, the bottles, and the syrup. It’s worth it to try and find a coupon, too.

Now, most of that you can’t avoid. You don’t really even have any reason to. They and their product are already saving you tons of money, along with all the other benefits.

Yet you can save even more money if you wanted to, and you can enjoy the SodaStream product even more than they meant for you to.

The flavors they make and sell are great, but you don’t have to be limited to those flavors and syrups. You can use your own syrups to save money, or to create your own flavors, or to drink even healthier drinks than what they sell.

You can buy your own juice syrups, whether the “bug juice” variety to save money, or fruit juice concentrates for even better health benefits, and create your own syrups, in any flavor you want.

As well, you can create your own combinations of flavors by mixing fruit juice syrups in different combinations. The possibilities are endless.  Make sure to get a SodaStream Coupon before you buy, too.

Sodastream Review – Make Your Own Seltzer Water

When you just like to drink plain seltzer water and lots of it, eventually you come to realize that it is rather expensive in the grocery stores and it is because it is not like regular cola products wherein people do not buy them that often and there is not a huge need for it. Though, you can purchase your own machine and make it yourself at home. Most of the sodastream review pages will tell you exactly where to buy the supplies and how to make the seltzer water.

SodaStream Review Pages

By all accounts, the sodastream review pages provide factual information from where to purchase the items, how much they cost and all of the things you can do with the SodaStream Soda Maker itself. One of the reviews tells of the story of one man who just wanted seltzer water and found himself in the middle of the night buying it at the convenience stores, costing a lot more money than usual.

The sodastream review tells of all of the things the gentleman went through before he arrived at the decision to make the purchase of this soda maker. There are other ways to do it of course, but purchasing CO2 cartridges and/or CO2 tanks like the restaurants have can become wildly expensive but the purchase of a SodaStream will reduce that cost by hundreds and will produce enough carbon dioxide to carbonate at least one hundred bottles of soda. That is a savings in and of itself.

There are many other sodastream review pages on the Internet and once again, they all tell of this product being the most economical and true to it’s word. The machine works exactly like it is supposed to with little or no effort at all. Having a sturdy plastic bottle underneath the dispenser and pushing one button, you can carbonate plain water turning it into seltzer water. You can also purchase flavored soda packages if you like your seltzer water flavored but the machine certainly eliminates the need for running out in the middle of the night to make the purchase when you can make enough to stock pile for a few weeks at a time.

SodaStream Coupons – Are They Worth It?

Is a Sodastream coupon worth the hassle of finding one? That is exactly what I had been asking myself while looking into how to mix up my own carbonated beverages at home. Of course I thought I would like all the benefits of making my own soda whenever I wanted right in my own home, but I really wanted to know exactly how much cash I could save and if I could find a coupon! Now that I’ve been using the Sodastream for seven or eight months I can really tell exactly what the costs are for a normal type of user and contrast that to what you could potentially spend at your local supermarket.

After my initial purchase of the Sodastream unit, I can now buy CO2 cartridge refills for $15 (or less with a coupon), which is about enough to make sixty plus liters of carbonated water using tap or filtered water from home. That can add up to less than twenty-five cents per liter of soda water!

I was at the store today and I saw two liter bottles of carbonated water (soda) at $1.79 for the “premium” brands down to $0.81 for the more reasonable, “generic” brands. Can you believe that even the lowest prices store brand of soda water was sixty percent more expensive? Did I mention you should get a SodaStream coupon and buy one of these quick?  Haha…

What about different flavors? With your Sodastream, you have the option to choose between unsweetened Flavor Essence, which typically will compare to flavored seltzer water like Clearly Canadian and the like, or Splenda sweetened Sodamix, which is a much stronger syrup and is much like traditional soda.

The SodaStream mixing syrups sell for $5 per bottle which is enough to make 12 liters of your favorite soda, at an additional cost of $0.42 per liter. Comparing this to a two liter bottle of brand name soda in my store at $1.89, Sodastream soda is over 25% cheaper than Coke or Pepsi.

So is buying a Sodastream worth it? Absolutely! My only advice would be to find a SodaStream coupon, too.  In the end, not only is it much cheaper to mix your very own soda, but there is a bunch of extra value since it is more convenient, better for you, and better for the environment. I have been super happy with my purchase, and I really think you’ll be, too!
